As a child attending First Baptist Church, I recall Pastor Hayden, his wife and daughter, and the message made me ponder all the miracles mentioned during the sermon as well as having a song in my heart from the beautiful choir in which the Hayden ladies provided their voices.
Decades later, whenever I’m in Houlton, I love to visit the church because the people are so welcoming, you have a very compassionate pastor, the beautiful stained glass window over the altar and the same loving picture of Jesus over the baptismal area. So much to be thankful for.
God Bless all the past and present members and pastors who have added joy and hope to so many of all ages.
