A good way to start with proclaiming the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is to examine the ancient creeds. For this purpose I would like to use the Apostle’s Creed. The most basic belief of our Faith is the first seven words, “I believe in God the Father Almighty.” One of the greatest changes in the last several decades of our nation is the different gods we might hear mentioned if the question was asked, “do you believe in God?” Which god would be the answer given by many. Today there are many gods on our religious scene. The Christian answers the question with authority, “God the Father Almighty.” This is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. This the father of Jesus Christ. Some say it doesn’t matter in who or what we believe as long as we are sincere. They say it is our sincerity that really matters. Hear this, If one is desiring to examine the truth of Christianity it begins with a faith in God the Father Almighty. It is from this foundation that we begin. This is the Christian God.
